What a Veranta vault is

Veranta — the exchange formerly known as Avantis, renamed in September 2026 — trades perpetuals on crypto, forex and commodities on Base. Its avUSDC vault is the single counterparty to every trade: depositors supply USDC, receive avUSDC, earn trading fees and the net result against traders, and carry the losses. A protocol buffer absorbs part of the day-to-day swings before they reach the vault.

One unified vault since October 2025 (it replaced the earlier junior/senior tranches); measured from its on-chain share value, which we read from the contract every run.

Veranta runs on Base.

How we measure them

Returns are flow-adjusted: deposits and withdrawals are removed, so the curve shows what one share earned. Max drawdown is measured on that share value, not on the account balance. Every figure is recomputed every four hours from Veranta's public data and the daily snapshot is hashed, so earlier figures cannot be altered afterwards. The method is the same for all nine platforms; details are on the methodology page.

What to watch on Veranta

Withdrawals carry a dynamic fee when free liquidity is low, so the quoted return is not always the return you can take out on a given day. The stress-day column shows how the vault held up in liquidation cascades.
